(BRITISH QUAD POSTER) YEAR : 1969 Director : Paul Wendkos Cast Info: James Franciscus, Elizabeth Shepherd, Ronald Allen CONDITION : POOR! - SUNDAY ONE DAY ONLY has been written in black felt pen within the yellow background of the explosion at the top, Two pieces of Sellotape/tape adhesive staining within the boat on the left with three pieces in the water below it, two pieces of Sellotape/tape adhesive within the bottom of the cliff above the boat on the right, small area of tape adhesive staining and a little patchy print loss within the left red border going into the woman’s hair, Approximately 24 small pieces of Sellotape stuck on the back of the poster (these are only really noticeable on the front if the poster is held to light/backlit), Numerous knife cuts throughout the poster which appear to correspond with the positioning of the tape on the back (these are not particularly noticeable as they are clean cuts with no apparent paper loss, I have tried to describe their positions below.. 5 cm horizontal cut above the red JOB text at the top left, 2 cm vertical cut within the arm of the image of the larger man on the left and a smaller cut above his head in the red background, 5 cm vertical cut above the first letter of the title and a 3 cm vertical and 2 cm horizontal cut above the first L in the title, 4 cm horizontal cut through the HE in the HEAD-ON text, 4 cm horizontal cut through the top of the EA in EARTH, 4 cm horizontal cut through the top right of the yellow explosion at the top, 3 cm horizontal cut through the red background around the top right corner, 1 cm vertical cut through the top of the O in the HELL-ON text, 1 cm vertical cut just above the chimney of the boat on the left, 2 cm vertical cut above the front of the boat on the right, 5 cm vertical cut just right of the woman at the bottom right, two 3 cm horizontal cuts above the PRODUCTIONS text and one below it, small T-shaped cut through the top of the B in the title. Pinhole near every corner, 1 cm circular pinhole tear at the bottom left corner, four pinholes above the HEAD-ON text and one below the top center, four pinholes to the left of the top of the right vertical fold line, two pinholes above the first letter of the title and two above the last letter of the title, a couple of random pinholes here and there. 2 cm tear at the top of all three vertical fold lines, two small tears and very mild creasing also on the top edge, slight Browning to the tip of the top right corner/top of the right edge, two small tears and mild creasing on the right edge, a couple of small brownish liquid splashes in the bottom border (near right corner), 4 cm tear at the bottom of the center vertical fold line, creasing along the bottom, slight Browning to the center of the bottom edge, 1 cm tear and approximately 5 smaller tears on the left edge along with mild creasing, slightly diagonal crease from the left edge across to the first letter of the title, and another from the right edge to the last letter of the title, diagonal crease from the bottom edge up to the machine gun handle on the left. COMMENCING MONDAY FOR SIX DAYS written on the back of the top of the poster in purple felt pen (only noticeable on the front if the poster is held up to the light / backlit), the title has been written on the back of the bottom in purple felt pen (this is lightly visible on front through the top of the US in FRANCISCUS text, otherwise okay.
