(LOBBY CARDS) YEAR : 1969 Director : Martin Ritt Cast Info: Richard Burton, Claire Bloom, Oskar Werner, David Bauer, Anne Blake, Richard Caldicot, Cyril Cusack, Rupert Davies, Marianne Deeming, Scott Finch, Walter Gotell, Robert Hardy, Edward Harvey, Michael Hordern, Esmond Knight, Bernard Lee, Beatrix Lehmann, Niall MacGinnis, Richard Marner, George Mikell CONDITION : One card missing from the set (card number 6), Overall I would say these are in below average condition, see a detailed description of each card below… Card 1: approximately 12 pinholes near every corner (some are several inches inward of the edges, including within Burton’s ear and neck, a couple of the pinholes have torn slightly), Browning around the edges with some darker Browning near the top of the right border and around the bottom corner areas, several scuff/indentation lines across the main image, 6 x 1 cm liquid stain near the bottom center (including just within the main image), very mild creasing/edge wear to the corners, approximately three tiny tears and mild edge wear on the bottom edge, 1 cm staple indentation above the PETER VAN credit, some light grubby marks near the top corners/top of the side borders, otherwise okay. Card 2: Dark Browning around the top right corner area/right edge, light Browning around some of the other edges, light creasing to the corners, tiny piece torn from the top edge (left), approximately five extremely tiny tears and mild edge wear on the top edge, 1 cm tear along with a couple of tiny tears and mild edge wear on the right edge, tiny spot of paper loss on the bottom left corner tip, tiny spot of paper loss near the top of the left edge, a 3 x 1 cm and a 2 x 1 cm brownish stain just below the coat collar, numbers have been handwritten in Biro within the right border, approximately 8 pinholes near every corner (some are several inches inward of the edges), some grubby marks around the top left corner, otherwise okay. Card 3: Vertical fold from top to bottom just left of the left border of the main image and a horizontal fold completely across the card going through the title, numerous grubby splashes throughout the left quarter of the card (possibly be a boot print), lightly dented corner tips, approximately ten pinholes near every corner (three near the bottom right corner have torn into larger holes), approximately ten additional pinholes within the main image area, some light scuffs within the main image area, otherwise okay. Card 4: Vertical fold from top to bottom just left of the left border of the main image and a horizontal fold just above the title, a few light grubby smears near the left edge, lightly dented corner tips, approximately 10 pinholes near every corner (some are several inches inward of the corners and edges), approximately twelve additional pinholes below the main image area and five within it, otherwise okay. Card 5: Slight Browning around the corners and top edge, faint grubby smears near the left edge, lightly dented corner tips, approximately ten pinholes near every corner (some have torn slightly), two pinholes below the knee level, a couple of faint brownish marks within the credits area and near the bottom edge, otherwise okay. Card 7: Vertical fold from top to bottom just right of the left border of the main image and a horizontal fold completely across the card just above the title, lightly dented corner tips, slight Browning to the edges around the top corners, approximately 10 pinholes near every corner (some are several inches inward of the edges and some have torn slightly), two pinholes within the woman’s chest area along with a small brownish stain, two additional pinholes in the bottom left corner of the main image and two near the bottom right of the main image, otherwise okay. Card 8: Dark Brown staining to the tip of the top edge along with mild edge wear, dark Brown staining also to the tip of the right edge, light creasing to the corners, small spot of paper loss to the tip of the top right corner, a couple of tiny edge tears on the top edge, some faint brownish marks within the purple credits and also within and above the title area, some additional faint brownish marks near the bottom, approximately ten pinholes near every corner (some are several inches inward of the edges and some have torn slightly), two additional pinholes within each of the men, diagonal fold and near the top right corner down to the bottom edge, otherwise okay.
